It is frustrating that both Roboform and Dashlane display this behaviour, but at least this is a simple solution. It might be worth renaming Roboform-Override? I only stumbled across it when I decided to switch from Dashlane becasue of this behaviour. It did not turn up in my searches of add-0ns. Thanks.

I just stumbled on this extension when I was searching for the roboform extension to add it back in after it was deleted. Good thinking in naming it that way, hope they don't hassle you about it. I asked roboform about this issue over a year ago and after spinning me some BS they said they were "looking into" enabling the browser password manager alongside roboform, or at least providing it as an option. I guess they are still looking into it...

I asked RoboForm for this in January 2018 but their reply was:
"Hello, thanks for your message.
Indeed, RoboForm for Chrome and RoboForm for Firefox will now turn off the built-in password manager, though, the browsers differ and the things those work fine in Chrome may not work properly in Firefox. Thus, RoboForm cannot completely disable the option "Remember logins and passwords for sites" in Firefox just like it does in Chrome. So the user can recheck the option in the browser to run the both built-in password manager and RoboForm after Firefox started (RoboForm will uncheck the option every time the browser runs) and we can do nothing with it."
I am so glad and grateful that someone else was able to do something about it. Developer response
posted 6 years agoIf this problem is common then I will have a look at that too. Can't promise anything though, it's been a long while since I used Chrome.
