posted 20 hours agoThe browser extension is currently not officially supported on Firefox for Android, however, we will work on a mobile-friendly version in the future. In the meantime, you can download the native Proton VPN app at protonvpn.com/download-android. - Rated 1 out of 5by Jean-Jacques TAKAMURA, 7 days agoExtension has been extremely reliable for me over the years but over the past couple weeks the experience has really gone downhill, the VPN doesn't auto-connect on browser start, it loses connection very often and does not connect to a new server, and it often fails, outright saying I need to re-install the extension, which I have done a couple times now, to no avail. Not sure what they are cooking but I can't say I'd recommend the extension right, I will be sure to update my rating should this be a temporary spell.

That said, if you have the opportunity to install our native Proton VPN app or connect through the manual setup methods, we'd suggest doing so as an alternative. - Rated 1 out of 5by Александр, 22 days agoДля начала работы VPN надо войти в аккаунт, а при попытке войти в аккаунт выдаёт ошибку: "При соединении с account.proton.me произошла ошибка. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR". Не рабочее дополнение

For whatever reason it always selects the Netherlands, which is extremely slow here.
Being able to pre-select the country is a must, I think.Developer response
posted 24 days agoThe default auto-connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you. This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. That said, if you wish to connect to a specific server of your choice, you may consider upgrading your plan. On another note, you can learn more about improving your connection speeds at protonvpn.com/support/increase-vpn-speeds. - Rated 1 out of 5by tron34, a month ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by SiriuslyDaniel, a month agolove proton but this is for paid only. It chooses fastest for you or you have to pay. It wouldn't even load or accept it for me to even try.
My free fastest is in Netherlands and I'm in USA.
So I guess I have to pay or it needs updated?Developer response
posted a month agoThe default auto-connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you. This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. That said, you still have the option to switch to another randomly allocated server by disconnecting and reconnecting again, or you can upgrade your plan to connect to a specific server of your choice. - Rated 1 out of 5by Izzyy, a month ago

posted 2 months agoSorry to hear that. Could you describe the issues further? Are you getting automatically logged out of the extension? What are the specific steps you're taking that lead to the behavior? Are you receiving any error messages?
Furthermore, what version of your browser and the Proton VPN extension do you currently have installed? Are you using any other extensions for privacy/security purposes?

posted 2 months agoThis is simply false. All Proton apps are open source and have been independently audited and verified by third-party experts. Anyone can see and verify that our apps do what we claim. With that in mind, Proton is completely trustworthy and has nothing to do with any of the issues you've mentioned.
Nonetheless, if you have any additional details to share regarding the matter, feel free to contact us at proton.me/support/contact. We'd be happy to address any concerns you may have. - Rated 1 out of 5by tttt, 2 months ago

Окно ввода не открывается. Однако, если запущен другой VPN, окно "Войти" открывается! Зачем нужен этот VPN, который не запустить без другого VPN?!

posted 3 months agoWe're sorry to hear that. The reason you're experiencing this issue is due to the aggressive restrictions in Russia. Our team is working hard on improving our infrastructure so that all our users are able to connect more easily. We will continue to make more improvements to enhance service availability despite the ongoing blocking attempts.
Meanwhile, you may consider downloading the official Proton VPN app for your specific OS to see if you're able to connect more easily. If you cannot access our website in order to do that, please contact us at protonvpn.com/support-form or proton.me/support/contact, or simply send us an email directly at so we can assist you further. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16539421, 3 months agoEsta aplicación no es free para nada, si o si te obliga a pasar por caja primero.

posted 3 months agoWe are aware of this issue and our team is working on a fix, although we don't have an ETA at the moment. For the time being, as a workaround, you can log out of the browser extension, restart your browser, and when logging back in, select 'Keep me signed in'. This should keep you logged in and only ask you to log back in periodically.
