- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13771877, 6 years agoI suggest you avoid NordVPN since it has serious security issues. By default it does not block network traffic when the connection to their server is dropped which leads to leak of your traffic. It can be turned on but the issue is that it is not default. Also in default, it does not change your DNS servers, which has the similar issue as above. Thus in default settings, it is as insecure as if you were not using any VPN at all (since you cannot forsee the connection drops to their servers). Second, even if you change the settings, there is no guarantee that this will stay so, updates or you yourself can delete the configuration without realizing what you have done and then go on browsing thinking that your security is tight but it is not. Any security product that is provided with such lax default configuration is a bad product. Lastly, they could not explain the protocol difference or how to determine what protocol is used when connecting to their servers as opposed to other solutions which also provide network traffic blocking and dns by default.
To update based on the request from the developper. Your customer support effectively said that you do not care what the default settings are since users can change it, again, this is the problem in itself. And again, you claim a secure privacy oriented product, this has to reflect also in its default settings. Without kill switch on, any vpn for security and privacy purposes is almost completely useless, the same goes for DNS.Developer response

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15012537, 6 years agoIs there any new update? It keeps getting disconnected, really annoying. Please check what's wrong and make it stable and improve it. Windows desktop application is working fine for me, this proxy extension should be repaired/updated.

posted 6 years agoHello. The issue itself is related to the browser's update. Hence, we'd advise you on downgrading it to 66. version to see whether the issue persists afterward, while we are working on a fix. Apologies for any inconveniences. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13002172, 6 years agothe extension crashes every time in private mode (ff 67.0)

posted 6 years agoHello. We are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. However, in the meantime, we'd advise you on downgrading the Firefox's version to 66. to see whether the issue persists. Apologies for any inconveniences. - Rated 1 out of 5by akahurous, 6 years agoWorst coded extension ever. Sometimes the GUI thinks you're disconnected despite you're connected, so you need to relog each time you use your browser. Same problem on the extension from the same company for other browsers.
Sometimes says you're connected to a VPN server despite you're not : big security issue. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14986491, 6 years ago

I regret recommending this to couple people.

The stupid addon keep disconnecting and request another auth. wtf
It's 2019 an it's still happening. sucks. Keep doing 'requesting a username and password. The site says: “NordVPN”'
Why can't they just publish their sources on github!?Developer response

Update for V2.6.3 - Still not usable. Connects, then prompts for username/password (firefox dialogue), can maybe access a single site, then after a few seconds dialogue says Failed to Connect, please try later. This is now every version except the initial release that does not work for me. Initial release still works perfectly with no issue, so back to that one again....... Original Review: Latest two updates (2.4 and 2.41) not usable for me. Logging in and connecting keeps kicking me out saying 'session limit exceeded, try again in 15 minutes'. Have logged with support, but meanwhile have reverted back to v0.9.21 which does have this issue and keeps me logged in with issues.Developer response

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13245748, 6 years agoIt freezes when I try to choose a country. And it is really slow when I try to open it.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14450626, 6 years agoWhen I try to enter my password the extension window disappear, impossible to sign in
- Rated 1 out of 5by RevolverX, 6 years agoFirst off, this add-on is not free. You need to make an account on their website and pay for a subscription to their VPN service. Secondly. if I am connected to their VPN service, why would I need this add-on? I have nothing against NordVPN but geesh!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14422058, 6 years agoThis extension is extremely resource heavy. Any interaction with this extension takes about 3 seconds for anything to actually pop up or react. I would stick to a desktop client as opposed to this extension.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14378015, 7 years agoWhen I turn on the extension, my internet access is completely blocked. This suddenly happened on Chrome and Firefox.
I can't find a support page or Forum on their website, all they have is a cruddy help page on how to install the extension. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14276118, 7 years agocannot login. When I click the password field, the whole box dissapears. omg
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12903306, 7 years agoLaggy. Buggy. Says you're connected even when you're not.
