- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16758997, 4 years agoNice tool! - Instead of uploading a custom icon, optional, what do think about the possibility of setting an alternative url as a favicon-resource ("redirecting")? I'm thinking of an often occuring problem of having a bookmark to a login-site subpage without a favicon, though the main url of the page have one. Also in this way the favicon would always be up to date. - Beside that, creating a backup-file per click with all url patterns and icons would be great (i.e. if you have to reinstall system or something like that). THANKS!
- Rated 4 out of 5by dpearsonwork, 4 years agoWorks fine here, however I need to be on the active tab for the icon to apply. If I have multiple tabs open and one of them refreshes in the background, it will lose the icon. 5 out of 5 if this would be fixed!

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15179875, 6 years agoIt worked perfectly on the first try. It took me a second to find how to configure the add-on, but once I did, I was able to set a favicon for a website that had no favicon. Woohoo!
It would be convenient if you could right-click on a tab and there would be an option "Set Favicon" that would autofill the favicon-customizer configuration with the website URL and allow me to set a favicon. - Rated 4 out of 5by run1492, 6 years agoThe extension fails when you open a link in a new TAB, doing it with a ctrl+click or with the mouse's context menu "open in new tab". Then, you have to refresh the page with ctrl+F5 to show the icon.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Mariusz, 7 years agoWorks OK-ish. It seems to show my custom icon only when I refresh the page. On new page, or after fresh Firefox start, it shows the original favicon again (on pinned bookmark for example). Would be awesome if my custom icon always had priority over the original one.
Also, it would be great if I could enter the URL with regular expressions like *.website.com/* to the URL bar in the options. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12077936, 7 years agoSchade dass es noch so umständlich ist, aber wenigstens funktioniert es. Wenn jemand ein besseres Plugin hat, gerne her damit ;-)
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13821618, 7 years agoIt works for me, it would be nice if you could right-click into a bookmark and change the icon from there, though.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Senthil Ponnusamy, 7 years agoEvery time, need to be on the tab to see the new favicon. It is an overhead.
If it does this automatically, it would be nice:) - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13741442, 7 years ago新しいFirefoxで利用出来なくなった「Bookmark Favicon Changer」の代わりに使えました。
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13677240, 7 years agoI got this to work once I made sure the URLs were exact. It won't work on subdomains unless I set up an entry for each subdomain. It would be helpful have a favicon for a site and all it's subdirectories (eg http://*.example.com) and then override those where the specific URL is given. I'd also like to set up a favicon using the URL and a string that's in the path or parameter (which may also work for subdomains) so that when i have different sites open in web.archive.org I can differentiate them. The page title string isn't effective for any of the sites I need because they all use the main site name as the page title if they have one, so it would be helpful differentiate them by a common string in part of the URL.
Overall this is a huge help in trying to quickly find the tab I want when i have a lot open. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13466023, 7 years agoGreat for use when you pin tabs without and favicon to identify. Webmail, chats etc.
- Rated 4 out of 5by leebing, 7 years agoSeems simple enough to use. Local site had no icon which was annoying since I have the page pinned so it was just blank essentially. Used their own logo from the page as new favicon and dropped in the URL. Then a quick refresh of the page and presto! New favicon set. THANKS!!
- Rated 4 out of 5by Boris, 7 years agoIt simply doesn't work, at least not on bookmarks toolbar.
Update: you have to actually open that bookmark for it to update, so it actually works. Just not the way i expected it to.
