- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17214544, 3 years agoAlways wanted me to download its companion app, what's the point of having the extension if it needs an another tool anyways?
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12855118, 3 years agoРасширение требует установку стороннего приложение, которое не проходит проверку в firefox. Так приложение модицифирует скачанное видео, т.е. вы получите не тот виде, что вы хотели.
- Rated 1 out of 5by WhyBoor, 3 years ago1) You need to pay to get rid of the QR code
2)Not straightforward with the options - Rated 1 out of 5by joe evangelista, 3 years agoUnfortunately, this add-on is just another trick to get you to install third-party software (an "additional helping program") of unknown provenance, whose security threat is unknown. I tried it with a Yahoo video only to find it would not work unless I added their special program.
Ein absolutes No-go!!!
Dieses Addon habe ich direkt wieder entfernt. - Rated 1 out of 5by Mike, 3 years agoThe program does not work on Ubuntu. (Ubuntu 21.10.) The program is installed, but when I try to download it, it displays the error message that a co-application is needed, as if I hadn't downloaded it. Absolutely not usable. Has the developer ever tried this on Linux? Earlier versions worked without further ado.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15708725, 3 years agoStarted watermarking + charges $30USD to remove, until then was very good
Edit: Use jdownloader2 or youtube-dl + tartube/stacher [gui for youtube-dl] - Rated 1 out of 5by SpeeDee, 3 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by herbertviana, 3 years agoExistem outros meios para conseguir doações. Essa marca d'água ficou horrível e os downloads ficam muito mais lentos.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17196192, 3 years agoUsed to be a free and mediocre extension. Now it adds a watermark. Scummy practice making a useless extension.

- Rated 1 out of 5by TheRealOlaf, 3 years agoExtremely slow, requires a companion app now, very clunky UI and also adds a watermark to the videos. This addon used to be so much better, what a shame
- Rated 1 out of 5by JZ, 3 years agoVDH used to work fine, but now it just says "Companion App not installed". So I downloaded the .deb file (I'm on Ubuntu) and installed it. It puts the binary in /opt/net.downloadhelper.coapp/. But still it says "Companion App not installed". So how does it find the binary? It's supposed to look for a .json file, which the .deb file installs in /usr/lib/mozilla/native-messaging-hosts. But wait, Firefox is a 64-bit program, not a 32-bit one (we're in the 21-century now!) so it should be in /usr/lib64, not /usr/lib. So I make a symlink from the lib dir to the lib64 dir. Still doesn't work: "Companion App not installed." :-( I'm giving up since it's already taken a lot of time to discover these bugs. I suspect that it's a minor configuration problem that failed QC. It's probably simple, but it's enough to keep VDH from working at all.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Prizm, 3 years agoPuts a WATERMARK on your video, but doesn't tell you until after it's done converting. And the converting takes a ridiculously long time because they're RE-ENCODING YOUR VIDEO to put their stupid QR code watermark on it!
