- Rated 1 out of 5by Felix, a year agoAsk to install outside app and then put watermark into the downloaded video. Instant uninstall.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18301342, a year agoAfter updating, it says it needs a companion app to work rather than working like it did before on my Linux system. Instructions for this are lacking in clarity or all steps required for making it work.

This extension now requires you to install some stupid external app to download anything - Rated 1 out of 5by phill1022, a year ago5 star reviews are bots, this app used to be free to use, since they have updated here are the results:
Will download video and leave a water mark QR code that is 1/8 of the screen.
The QR code dumps you on page asking for $28.50 for 1 year version to remove watermark.
To make the video with a watermark it will max out your CPU creating the video. and take substantially longer to download/burn.
Previous version never bogged my system down, downloaded quickly, and no watermark. I made this account just to leave this review. - Rated 1 out of 5by Ibelievenot, a year agoUPDATE: Albeit a small improvement, the most recent update seems to have helped slightly. However, about 25% of downloads are still either not initializing a download at all, or they stall out during the download process. It's very unreliable. At times, several videos will download without issue. Other times every other video stalls out and requires being cancelled. Further more, when a video stalls out, it remains frozen at the % it stalled out on. Effectively stopping all queued downloads. Please, please revert to a previous, more stable version. We are begging you. Thank you for this Addon and all the work that has been put into it!

I created an account just to leave this review. I've used this Addon for years without issue. 5 Stars all around! But the most recent update has made it practically unusable. 75% of the time the downloads hang on "Downloading" and don't actually start the process. It's infuriating to say the least. Please repair this Addon. It would be greatly appreciated. - Rated 1 out of 5by Syv, a year ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18296286, a year agoIt does not work for audio download. Only if You pay You can download music, so I wonder why I do not pay directly for the music instead paying to them ?

- Rated 1 out of 5by arknd, a year agoThis extension might be compromised on the newest version. Downloading a video instead downloads a php script. Watch out. The old versions are fine though. I recommend reverting to one of them.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Adilson Barros, a year agoIn the beginning was good, today more errors when downloading live streaming. Is getting worse day by day. Now, start download and stop each 2 minutes. TERRIBLE!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12385054, a year agoThe extension started having problems with downloading videos recently: speed is slower, and pretty often the video is not downloaded completely. If I have to guess, it's because now it applies a QR code wartermark to downloaded videos, so the author focused on DRM rather than on stability and functionality.
I also love that not only the extension now aggressively DEMANDS money to work, but even in case if you pay it limits the period of working to one year. Therefore using the worst licensing practices known to humanity. - Rated 1 out of 5by Pierre, a year ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Jiggrinder, a year agoAs many are saying after the recent update to 8.2.0.23 (stable) it is a pain to use.Have to re title and add extensions manually (mp4 ect.) I have used this for many years with no problems but now looking for a better option
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18293533, a year agoThis add-on used to be the best for downloading streams, but unfortunately this is no longer the case!
You will now need to register (and pay) for a license, to avoid the (QR) watermark on all downloaded videos.
Also at the same time, you are no longer able to copy the URL to the media-stream itself - because that would undermine the revenue, because one could simply use VLC to do the work of the required "DownloadHelper CoApp".
Waste of time - don't bother installing this!
