- Rated 1 out of 5by baykam, a year agoThis is not a free extension anymore, it's paid and it costs 20 Euros. They should specify this on their store page.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18418245, a year agoMade a mozilla account just to leave a rating here. Extension working ok for several years, but now it throws up a QR code and watermark on downloads that blocks a solid quarter of the screen. Look elsewhere.
- Rated 1 out of 5by fckdwhelper, a year agowas flawed by good, now it's money hungry garbage. made an account just to leave this review out of anger. Don't waste your time with this.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18417689, a year agoIt was great until they decided to make the free version completely useless by slapping a HUGE non transparent watermark on the downloaded video.
- Rated 1 out of 5by akudlinski, a year agoI do not recommend it.
I used this extension for many years and it worked quite well. Unfortunately, the extension has been recently updated.
Now, the free version is totally useless. It puts a huge, non-transparent watermark on the downloaded video.
The paid version, at least for me, is not worth the price. - Rated 1 out of 5by Leonardo, a year agoIt doesn't work, when I select the video it doesn't do anything.
- Rated 1 out of 5by EvL, a year agoNo longer free. Now adds a QR-code in a corner if you don't pay for the addon.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Dr. Anik, a year agoasks to download and install other app on laptop. Don't work without money. waste of time.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18415064, a year agoDas war's dann wohl. Scheint Probleme beim Download von Streams zu haben. Solch ein Video besteht nur noch aus groben Quadraten
- Rated 1 out of 5by Art., a year agoNow its useless. From new version all downloads have huge QR code over video. Uninstalled.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Mohanad, a year agoAll your downloads will have a huge QR code, plus you need to install an additional app to download. Not recommended at all.
- Rated 1 out of 5by jacobjlr, a year agoNew update adds HUGE non transparent QR code to all downloads. I been using this add-on for years instant uninstall....

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18409030, a year agoCan't download anything without "Companion App" 100% garbage
- Rated 1 out of 5by Viatical, a year agoRecently added an update that puts a completely non translucent qr code to the entire bottom quarter of any video saved. Used to recommend this to anyone and now it's an instant delete.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13115210, a year agoHORRIBLE. Every file has the same name, they do NOT download to the specified folder and I can't find them anywhere.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16332016, a year agoThis video downloader was among the best with flawless downloading for non-streaming videos. But at least a week ago, every download attempt has been blocked into a "queued" status of nothing downloaded. Not sure if I'm throttled by this app when other apps allow downloading of the same videos.
Further, it is clunky for the local installation of the companion app to download streaming videos when other video downloading apps can download those streaming videos without any local installation.
Guess I will have to switch over to alternatives permanently.
P.S. Now I've been reading of the latest update that adds a QR code onto the downloaded video unless it's a paid version. No, ma'am. Found a very good alternative that I can download HLS streaming videos without any additional installation of app to my computer's local hard drive. Best of all, the downloading of the streaming videos doesn't take half the time that this extension's companion app that took forever (at least 25 minutes if not longer for a mere 40-minute video).
Sometimes, change is good to force one to find something else. Whatever Video Downloader did shoved me in the right direction.
