Do you like massive QR codes in your downloaded videos?
Would you like to pay to have them removed?

It was great before. But now, doesn't work anymore. Videos stop at 3/4 downloading Or fail. Or unreadable. Sad news

Loved it when it was not downloading the video BEHIND a QR Code T-T

Technically, it's still a good old Video Download Helper but now it's trying to install a 3rd party app in your OS for the features old one had out of the box. It's a downgrade.

Eventually it will demand money from you

This works yet it puts a huge QR code in the corner of the screen. A small one OK but really a 3x3 inch square on a 17 inch monitor.

The addon seems to be good, but: I left my laptop to download few long videos and then i came back - the battery was almost empty.

Instead of direct downloading, there was a transcode of video in background.

This was a wonderful app while it lasted. Unfortunately, they eventually tried to make me pay for the service. Also it was supposed to be a lifetime payment but from my own research I've learned people are being asked to "upgrade" after as little as six months.

Used to be amazing, but recent updates have caused most downloads to fail and have to be restarted multiple times.

Improved; getting better, considering that it's handicapped by trying to function in microsoft's cluster f*ck abortion known as windows 10 (or any version of windows after 7, for that matter); it's still improving. However, I wish that it would add titles when downloading TV series episodes. I still occasionally find some videos that can't be downloaded, especially from Tubi, which has gotten worse in the last couple of days. And actually nothing from PlutoTV will download at all.

Requires additional executables, which are not available for all platforms.

i thought it was free. turn out to be a 28$ extension. not worth it

works but puts a big qr code on the video unless I pay them 20€

Used to be a good add-on now everything has a watermark on it.
