- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13693271, 7 years agoHey MIG, what are you messing around with?? What is this "extra add-on" program we are supposed to install? And I can't find any way to install it on the web link you provide. Hey man, when you advertise an add-on and make big claims what it will do, then the first time I try to use it I get this message that I must go to some web site and download a "helper" program with no explanation as to what it is or what it does, that is very suspicious.
Come on, man, you know better. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13646768, 7 years agoBonjour,
Impossible sur mon MacBook, d'utiliser videodownloader. J'ai bien télécharger Companion (faut-il le payer ?) mais je ne sais comment l'intégrer au module. Je suis donc privé d'utilisation. Pas content du tout. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13691737, 7 years agoapp developer moved to the darkside. why make a download processor list with "browser" and "ask" only to FORCE the user to download companion app? that's deceptive! then call it "New Companion App Video Downloader". Id rather pay for simple app with limitations than a good app with bloat/adWare.ty!

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13689362, 7 years agothe app doesn't allow the browser to manage downloads . instead it forces the users to download come "companion app" . This was never the case before .
the developer has gone to the dark side - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13688846, 7 years agoNutze Firefox 57.0.4-64 Bit
Notebook Dell, I5, 8 GB-RAM
- Rated 1 out of 5by GrDance, 7 years agoUsed to be good. Now a large part of the downloaded videos are covered by a QRcode (to make you buy the extension). For audio you have to pay anyway. Really? Other extensions do a better job for free. Uninstalling!
- Rated 1 out of 5by david, 7 years agothis WAS a great extension, now is buggy and an absolute piece of garbage, fails to download and when occasionally does it is at the speed of watching paint dry, too bad

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13682502, 7 years agoThe new version of Video-DownloadHelper is horrendously bad. The interface has added complexity that offers no positive value to the app and obscures control of options that were perfectly accessible in the old Video-DownloadHelper. The performance of the "new-&-improved" (??!) Video-DownloadHelper is well-&-truly bizarre. I have no idea how long is required for the app to complete a download, because I am not that patient. I tried to download a file of about 250 MB and never finished; the app preemptively took over nearly 100% of both cores of my cpu and spiked memory usage, both while doing almost nothing network-wise. After several minutes of this state, the app had managed to download only about 70 MB. I could not get enough cpu slices to close Firefox or properly shut down my OS - hard reboot via power button was required!?! Note - I tried this experiment three times with nearly identical results each time.
Video-DownloadHelper used to be a solid, easy-to-use winner - no longer the case. Always sad to see a good app go bad.
Stay away from Video-DownloadHelper until the author reports having diagnosed and repaired the complaints reported by me and others. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13680032, 7 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13679838, 7 years agoDeze addon verschijnt niet in de werkbalk. Kan dus ook niet gebruikt worden. Jammer de vorige versies waren goed.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13679247, 7 years agoDie neue Version verlangsamt den Computer derartig, dass man besser auf den Downloadhelper verzichtet. Schade, vorher war das ein hervorragendes Addon!
