Very good video downloader for Firefox, been using it for years. Youtube vids can still be a challenge.

VideoDownloadHelper has been my go-to video downloader for many years, in part because it is updated continually to adjust to changes in site downloading behavior. Its helper software which became required when Firefox 57 broke so many existing add-ons is a horrible CPU_hog and takes forever to complete its task on modest systems, but when the option to download in one of the traditional formats like .mp4 exists downloads run as fast as ever.

I have had no problems from VDH. It has been a great help. My only complaint is there are sites that I can't download from, but that is not VDH's fault.
