- Rated 1 out of 5by David Joy, 5 years agoThis extension has been incompatible with Firefox and, apparently, Firefox-based browsers--Tor, for sure--for several updates now. Does it download? We will never know, because the VDH menu is unusable. It's all squashed up against the edge of the screen, overlapping itself and unscrollable. Yet Mozilla says it's "recommended"? How is that possible?

- Rated 1 out of 5by awesome14, 5 years agoNo matter what I do, the add on just opens another tab that says 'no media to process in this tab'. The desktop add on works perfectly. The Android one, I cant work at all. There's a license section. i pressed 'get a conversion license, but nothing happened, so after a while I gave up. There is definitely a severe malfunction, probaably on my part, but the add on gives no clue.
- Rated 1 out of 5by SRPantano, 5 years agoIt doesn't work! It needs another app to download video in HD quality.
- Rated 1 out of 5by 1031982, 5 years agoThe reason for the one star is because this doesn't work. I get either a 1k or 0k file from it, making this useless. I don't know how others are getting any downloads.
The fact that it needs a companion app isn't an issue. The code is all open source, so anyone can look through it. - Rated 1 out of 5by Christian, 5 years agoSince the app is not free anymore - any unlicensed (=not paid) copy will have a QR code in the top left corner - I am sorry not to be able to give a good rating. This addon *NEVER* should be a Mozilla Foundation's recommandation. Please change that.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16105542, 5 years agoI had this program on my pc and downloaded a bunch of videos using it. Just last night I noticed that entire external hard drive was missing. So I ran a check to see what happened to the partitions. Finally I was able to get them back however I noticed when I did a check and fix the program told me that all the videos I downloaded using this program were ALL CORRUPTED! I mean not one other video I had besides using this program were corrupted. DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM YOU WILL SCREW UP YOUR COMPUTER BIG TIME!

The "Video DownloadHelper" is only a way to make you download a separate stand alone executable which noone knows what it really does.
Firefox shouldnt allow "Video DownloadHelper" as an add-on because its NOT an ad-on since it relies not in Firefox itself but in other dark programs.
Shame on you Firefox for tricking users. - Rated 1 out of 5by f59, 5 years ago
