- Rated 1 out of 5by Jojojiva, 5 months agoEncouraging red-marking of intersex and nonbinary individuals serves only to divide and silence a large part of the community. Infighting is stupid, and you need to prohibit red marking for these cases.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Tray, 5 months agoBecome entirely useless now. No longer about fighting against transphobia, instead this has become about promoting trans-inclusive radical feminism. Hating trans men is rewarded. It's clear the devs support this hijacking and are fine with the harassment of trans men and intersex people their add-on has been used for lately.

- Rated 1 out of 5by shrimpshrampshrump, 5 months agoMarking intersex (including trans intersex) users red is allowed. This addon enables perisexism. Also throwing us transmascs under the bus is doing what TERFs want. We should be allowed to talk about transmasc issues without being immediately shut down.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17239102, 5 months agoI am very disappointed that this has been twisted in such a way that it is used against the people it is supposed to protect.
- Rated 1 out of 5by AmariaThe, 5 months agoCreator calls discussions of transmasc oppression and intersex trans identities transphobic and labels people who use perfectly valid language TERFs when the language directly benefits trans intersex people
- Rated 1 out of 5by Wren, 5 months agoI have long appreciated the extension for its work to create inclusive spaces for trans people, but this is clearly not your goal any longer. Calling people transphobes or terfs for talking about the transphobia that they themselves experience is ridiculous, and so is silencing intersex voices in the same way. You allow people to use words like “theyfab” or “tenderqueer” to blatantly make fun of non-binary identities, but trans men saying that they experience transphobia is enough to be marked red? Intersex people talking about their struggles is supposedly transphobic? Are y’all not ashamed?
- Rated 1 out of 5by Boondren13, 5 months agoWorks as advertised, but noticing a concerning increase in abuse by users and mislabelling people as transphobic as a means of bad-faith argument. I would encourage both devs and users to reflect on what this extension was made to represent and achieve, rather than weaponising it.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18706141, 5 months agoWas a good extension, and then it started to show a clear bias against those who talked about intersex and transmasc people. It's a shame that something that used to be a really good tool is used in such a negative way.. really sucks.
- Rated 1 out of 5by CybeFish, 5 months agoLoved this when it came out and was very usefull in identifying transphobes and terfs. now this extension is fundamentally useless as many trans people and intersex people are being flagged as "not trans friendly" based on arbitrary reasons such as discussing intersexism, and trans-masc struggles. this app is now only useful if you hate intersex people, and trans-mascs

- Rated 1 out of 5by Icarus, 5 months ago"Appropriating women's language in a way that harms real women is not okay" y'all are so desperate to be TERF's
- Rated 1 out of 5by Fir3fox, 5 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Tired, 5 months ago"appropriating language" says the community who stole and rebranded multiple intersex terms. Intersex individuals are not the ones appropriating
- Rated 1 out of 5by oMorri, 5 months agoThis extension has had an unfortunate downward spiral not only in its effectiveness and reliability, as it seems people that speak out about it's exclusionist decisions about intersex, transmasc, and non binary people are marked red, but also the developers or moderators or whoever takes care of this have decided that certain words are transphobic when they're only a way for some to describe their experiences, and some that are objectively hateful aren't transphobic enough to warrent a mark. Not to mention that they may have even manually marked some people as red as a way to silence them to prevent talking about their experiences with shinigami eyes. This was useful, it could be useful again if these issues are dealt with, but as it stands I cannot in good faith recommend this to others or continue to use it myself while run in this way.

- Rated 1 out of 5by spideywebs, 5 months agoWent out of my way to defend this extension when it seemed like people might have been misunderstanding how it works & using that as reason to conclude the developer was using it as a weapon in intracommunity discourse... only to find out that they're literally in the reviews hashing out that exact same discourse in real time.
Whatever. I can look past some cringy behavior as long as it isn't crossing over into the actual functionality of this tool.
So question for the developer: are you actually taking any use of "AFAB trans women", regardless of context, as reason for flagging someone as anti-trans? Are you taking someone's dislike for the term "theyfab" as reason for marking them anti-trans? Where is the line, exactly; not for you personally, but in the moderation of the extension? - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16139126, 5 months agostarted finding more and more trans people marked as red, discovered it was not because of terf attacks, but because the people behind the extension are intersexist and transphobic themselves. oh, and look, they're in the reviews arguing with people! fantastic. don't waste your time with this extension. it's garbage.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Zentilde, 5 months agoA once pretty great add-on that is now useless for it's main purpose, seeing that red "transphobic" label is being erroneously (or perhaps even purposely by the devs) attached to intersex people, people advocating for intersex rights, trans-mascs, and even some of the trans advocates this add-on claims to help platform.
Unless there's a massive change in ownership (assuming this concept is even worth humoring) you'd be better off just reading up on potential dog-whistles and looking into the accounts yourself, as apposed to letting this biased add-on tell you who it thinks is worth listening too. - Rated 1 out of 5by ZoeOfShark, 5 months agoThis addon used to be my go-to recommendation for trans people online. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case.
The moderators of the extension are not very well educated on trans issues. Any advocacy for intersex trans people, trans men, etc risks getting you flagged. Trans activists should not be marked red for advocating for their identity.
We need intersectionality more than ever, but this addon is trying to break us apart. Whether this is incompetence by the moderators or intentional division is unclear.
Edit: The developer response proves my point more succinctly than I could. Intersex people advocating for their rights is not "appropriating language". Please google intersectionality.Developer response
posted 5 months agoAppropriating trans women's language in a way that harms trans women is not okay.
Intersectionality? The community is already divided by transmisogyny. - Rated 1 out of 5by floatingcat, 5 months agoNot only is this extension being used to target intersex and some trans activists, but the developer has been making incredibly intersexist responses to reviews. Policing the labels that intersex people use to describe themselves is completely unacceptable and absolutely shameful from someone claiming to want to create a safer online space for all trans people. Using a label for yourself that fits your experience does not "force" anyone to label themself a certain way, as the developer says. The developer has also likened intersex activists to TERFs because of labels they are using FOR THEMSELVES to describe their personal experience. I am uninstalling this add-on and will be advising friends to do the same. I only hope the developer reads this and decides to educate themself on intersex issues and how their actions have harmed an already oppressed community.
- Rated 1 out of 5by arowace, 5 months agoUsed to be decent. But while the developers claim to support intersex people they are ignorant and bigoted and have not educated themselves.
I read the developers responses to some recent poor reviews and wanted to respond. the existence of afab transfems does not force any trans person to use their agab. Using amab or afab is a personal choice. No one is owned someone's assigned gender. It literally feels like a lame excuse to mark intersex queers as anti trans. - Rated 1 out of 5by Rat, 5 months agoPeople who have not been marked red before are being marked red when they post about intersex and transmasc issues. The responses to other comments aren't actually explaining whats happening proving the creator doesn't actually care about it.
