posted 5 years agoHi, sorry about this. We've been working with Mozilla all morning to resolve this. Mozilla have confirmed it was due to a bug in Firefox (related to extension permissions downgrades).
To fix OneTab, just go to “about:addons” in your Firefox address bar, click the ‘cog’ icon in the top right, and click ‘Check for updates’. This will upgrade you to OneTab v1.39, which fixes the issue.- Rated 1 out of 5by chenoa, 5 years agowell, this add-on was great... until it just stopped working and lost all my tabs. useless piece of garbage. I would have saved those tabs elsewhere if I had known this add-in was trash 🙃

Workarounds didn't work reliably for me and shouldn't be necessary in the first place.
Releasing an update in this state is a massive oversight.Developer response

All of my tabs lost and there's no way to recover them. Is automatic backup really that hard?

OneTab just isn't reliable unfortunately, andnow I've lost months of research and work.

When I tried to restore the closed tab nothing was there. NOTHING! Poof gone. Blank page. Oh, and this only happening on Firefox. All seem OK on Chrome. There is no back up or way to save anything when something like this happens (and this is not the first time). If you knew you're system was about to crash a heads up would have been FANTASTIC so we could have at least exported the URL. What gives?
*Thanks for your response, but that doesn't recover everything lost because of this "bug".Developer response

A temporary solution for windows: go to C:\Users\XXXX(Username)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\2vl8majd.default\extensions and open extension@one-tab.com.xpi with firefox. Then reload the tab.Developer response

But you will lose all your stored tabs in the past.

I downloaded OneTab to get rid of old and redundant tabs that I had left open. After it succesfully merged them all in one tab, I proceeded to delete the unused ones. After restoring the session my firefox froze and when I opened it up again literally all my tabs were gone.
For many years a lot of people were telling me that I would be better off using using bookmarks more and I think OneTab is all I needed to make me switch. - Rated 1 out of 5by A FF User, 5 years ago>>> UPDATE REQUIRED TO FIX FIREFOX ISSUE ON ANDROID!!! <<< ### DO NOT INSTALL!!! - Rated 1 out of 5by Frank, 5 years agoEvery time I open Firefox on Android it duplicates the Onetab tab. Half my tabs are Onetabs. I love it on the PC, but it's God awful on mobile.

Script: import.js:11201 - Rated 1 out of 5by Omitade, 5 years ago~When I am researching something, I tend to open a lot of tabs. It gets chaotic and then, at the end of the day, I just don't want to see them any more. One Tab takes care of it, like a good housekeeper. Wonderful!~
Well that was from while ago. After a recent update, we went from 5 to 0 stars but 1 will have to do. No One Tab, it completely disappeared and with it, my tabs (obviously). - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16176076, 5 years agoFINGER WEG!!!
Ein Klick auf Speichern hat bei mir sämtliche Tabs geschlossen, ohne eine Liste zu erzeugen. Alle Tabs waren somit weg. Die App sollte eher TrashTab heißen. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16157805, 5 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by OlivMoz, 5 years agoLike many others I tried it but it's disappointing.
My 100+ tabs are lost.
It seems that on Android there are two types of tabs, recently open (the one open on the current session maybe?) and older one (from previous sessions). The older one are not recognize by onetab, thus not recorded. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15095017, 5 years agoThis extension just took 100 open tabs and saved only one! 😠 Those were important. I like OneTab for PC, but this mobile extension makes you guys pure trash.
- Rated 1 out of 5by jc74, 5 years agoFirst time I tried to use it, it closed all my tabs (nearly a hundred that I'd kept open across crashes, reboots and FF updates for months) and gave me a list of only the most recent two. I think this is probably the first time in my life I really feel like I could murder someone. I'm sure it will pass but it won't stop me hoping the developer gets hit by a bus.
