- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13569155, 7 years agoLoved this blocker previously and always worked well. However since updating to the NG version it periodically loses all preferences I have set, and no longer blocks any pages. While I have a relatively short list of sites I want blocked, it is still rather annoying and were it to continue I would try find a better solution.

https://github.com/proginosko/LeechBlockNG/issues/18 - Rated 3 out of 5by DarseZ, 7 years agoHello, love this add-on!
Would you be able to remove the requirement to have "Access to all data on all websites"?
It doesn't seem that you would need to require this, just the URL only...please correct me if I'm incorrect on this assumption.
Developers may say they don't use any form/login/password data but there's no way for the end user to know. Many of the revised 57+ add-ons have this blanket permission and in many cases it doesn't seem necessary...in my uneducated opinion, of course. I'm open to being schooled.
Thank you and best wishes!Developer response
posted 7 years agoHappy to address this. Honestly, I'm not sure why Firefox gives that rather scary warning. It could be because LB uses a content script to display the countdown timer and warning message within the tab, over the web page. (Content scripts can, in principle, access all data on the web pages you view.) It could be because LB requests 'tabs' permission, so it can intermittently check whether block conditions are met for all open tabs, not just the active tab. I'll look into it. In any event, all the source code is publicly available on GitHub, so you can check that LB isn't doing anything untoward! - Rated 5 out of 5by dewolfe, 7 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13560640, 7 years agoIn the previous version, I liked it that when using the delaying page, whenever the page went out of focus the countdown was canceled and had to be restarted. Is there a way to make the NG version work this way again?

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13509810, 7 years agoSo glad Leechblock is back and better than ever! I'm using this both on my laptop and on Android, and it's working great on both. Would love to see synced options between devices in the future.
This has been essential for fighting my internet addiction, thank you! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12958497, 7 years agoIt really helps me control myself. I like the extra restrictive features available, like blocking access to backstage value areas, to prevent changing values there.

Also the warning doesn't always show up! Sometimes it just blocks the site with no warning! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13540035, 7 years agoWorks perfectly! Ideal for blocking all that distracting crap!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13535806, 7 years agoWe really need "Hide in add-ons" old option for Leechblock NG.
Otherwise, very fine and useful. - Rated 5 out of 5by Jafenter, 7 years agoFantastic plugin. I'm glad that this new version exists for compatibility with Firefox Quantum.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13532706, 7 years agoExcellent - does exactly what I want. I spent a long time searching for something that would do exactly this on Chrome, but none of the extensions available work very well. LeechBlock is simple and effective, and has already saved me from a lot of distractions after my first day of use.
